03 / Agentic development
I use AI coding agents in my Shopify and Magento development work. They help investigate code, implement scoped changes, and support testing. My role is to set the direction, review the work, and make sure the result fits the platform and your business.
Agents work best with a clear brief and an understanding of the existing store. I bring the platform knowledge to choose an appropriate app, module, integration, or storefront approach.
I break work into manageable tasks, review the code agents produce, and keep the changes inspectable. Architecture and business decisions stay grounded in your requirements.
Code review, automated checks, and browser testing help establish whether a change works. A passing test and a successful production release are separate milestones.

I’m Daniel Kenney, a Senior Solutions Architect and the person behind Kenney Labs. My 16+ years in ecommerce span Magento 1 and 2, custom development, integrations, and the infrastructure that keeps stores running. Today, that experience also shapes my Shopify apps and agentic development work.
